FAQs

  • An intake session is the first opportunity I will have to do a comprehensive assessment of you. In turn, you will have the opportunity to see how therapy will work, review office policies, privacy and confidentiality, as well as determine whether or not they are comfortable with the therapist. You will also be able to identify their own goals for their therapy journey.

  • Insurance clients: I participate with Aetna, UHC, Optum, and Cigna insurances in Texas and Virginia. Your insurance plan determines if you have a flat copay, coinsurance, or are paying to the deductible.

Out-of-network: If I am out-of-network with your insurance, you can still choose to see me and I am able to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance which can help with reimbursement of session costs.

Private pay: If you are uninsured, my self-pay rate is $140.

  • I primarily work with adults and older adolescents. I work with clients mood disorders, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and trauma. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

  • Standard therapy sessions are about 50-55 minutes long. New clients will meet weekly or biweekly. Once progress is made and/or goals are met, the client may decide to meet less frequently.

  • Clients are responsible for providing notice at least 24 hours in advance if they will be unable to attend a scheduled session. If a client fails to notify, they are subject to being charged the cancellation fee, which is the full cost of session without insurance applied.
